February 15, 2008, Pleasanton, California – HyperBac Technologies releases Backup Explorer for SQL Server, a unique solution for data and object recovery from native as well as HyperBac compressed/encrypted SQL Server database backups.
HyperBac Technologies today released their new and unique solution for SQL Server Backup Object Recovery.
Backup Explorer, an OLEDB provider for SQL Server Backup Object Recovery, allows SQL Server administrators to access raw data and objects from SQL Server backup devices. HyperBac’s implementation of Backup Object Recovery is unique as it allows administrators to access a SQL Server backup as a Linked Server, where administrators can access data from the backup device using T-SQL SELECT statements from SQL Query Analyzer including row level data selection and recovery using WHERE clauses.
HyperBac’s Backup Explorer technology also allows developers to access data and objects from SQL Server backups using data access API’s such as SQL Server Integration Services (SIIS), Data Transformation Services (DTS), ADO, SMO or SQL DMO and others.
HyperBac’s unique implementation of Object Recovery allows users to recover data from native uncompressed backup device files as well as HyperBac compressed and/or encrypted SQL Server backup device files. HyperBac's Backup Explorer Module supports SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000 backup devices.
HyperBac’s Object Recovery is included with the HyperBac for SQL Server backup product.
