HyperBac Releases Support for Linux Operating Systems

October 1, 2006 – HyperBac Technologies today officially announces Linux support for HyperBac for Oracle, high performance backup software for Oracle 9i and 10g.

HyperBac Technologies has officially added Linux operating system support for HyperBac for Oracle. HyperBac for Oracle incorporates high performance integrated compression and AES encryption technology to compress and encrypt data as it is backed up via Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Export (EXP), Export Data Pump (EXPDP) or other methods. This results in substantial disk and tape storage cost savings as well as a reduction in backup times and backup windows and a significant increase in transaction throughput during the backup process.

HyperBac for Oracle is generally available for Microsoft Windows and Linux based systems.
