HyperBac Announces Support for Sybase, DB/2 and MySQL

December 11, 2006 – HyperBac Technologies extends the HyperBac backup product to Sybase, DB2 and MySQL

HyperBac Technologies, a provider of high performance, secure database backup software with integrated compression and AES encryption, has released HyperBac for Sybase, IBM DB2 and MySQL.

HyperBac for Sybase, DB2 and MySQL extend the benefits of HyperBac including up to 90% compression, 50-70% backup time reduction, backup device encryption with AES technology and seamless recovery to Sybase, DB2 and MySQL users. HyperBac is disk based database backup and recovery software which leverages upon native DBMS backup and recovery technologies. HyperBac software reduces customer backup and archival storage requirements while substantially improving backup times and backup performance. This represents a substantial saving in storage related costs (SAN, NAS and tape) as well as an improvement in service levels and availability. HyperBac also enables integrated AES data encryption for disk based database backup and export files, safeguarding sensitive customer data and helping to meet statutory compliance directives such as HIPAA and SOX.

HyperBac for Sybase and other systems are available for the Windows and Linux x86 (all distributions) platforms.
