HyperBac Technologies Previews HyperBac Online at PASS Community Summit 2008
November 19, 2008 – HyperBac Technologies, Inc. has today previewed “HyperBac Online”, a unique solution to reduce storage costs for online SQL Server databases or VMware systems. HyperBac Online allows users to run SQL Server and VMware on up to 75% less media, while maintaining or improving performance and maintaining integrity and consistency. HyperBac Online is the next generation of HyperBac, which allowed DBAs to reduce backup storage requirements without changing their backup methods. Similarly, SQL Server databases and VMware systems do not require any modification or additional configuration to run on HyperBac Online compressed and/or encrypted media files. HyperBac Online is currently available in beta and is scheduled for general availability in Q2 2009.
