HyperBac Previews Snapshot Backup for SQL Server

November 3, 2009 – HyperBac Technologies previewed new snapshot backup technology for SQL Server, offering in built compression/encryption and directly attachable snapshot backup files.

HyperBac Technologies today previewed their new and unique solution for SQL Server snapshot backup at the SQL PASS Summit 2009 conference.

HyperBac's snapshot backup for SQL Server employs Microsoft VSS technology along with HyperBac's high performance compression and encryption technology to allow SQL Server administrators to create point in time snapshots of SQL Server databases, offering an discrete, consistent recovery points and instant recovery. Furthermore HyperBac's snapshot backups are attachable and usable directly in compressed form using unique HyperBac Online technology. This enables administrators to migrate and refresh enviornments using a minimal data storage footprint. HyperBac’s Snapshot Backup for SQL Server is expected to ship in Q1, 2009.
